How have you mentally prepared your S/O for labor and delivery?

LOL. I thought that I had my husband prepared until we actually got there. I was induced and it took 12 hours. My husband apparently thought it was an in and out with the baby kinda thing. He kept saying"geez I didnt know it would take this long". Then when the pushing part came, he actually went to sit down!! I was like OHH heck no! You get your over here and hold my legs, wet my face, hold my hand...whatever I tell you to do lol.Then the absolute funniest part was when my son was born, he had his eyes open wide and was looking around. My husband said " I didnt think they could open their eyes for a week"!!! LOL! Ohh my, it was very entertaining. I wish I would have had him read more, or told him more details I guess. But then again, I may not have been so entertained.
